Owning a Tesla Model 3 has been an exciting journey, but I’ve decided to sell it after a year. Is the Tesla Model 3 worth it in 2025? In this blog, I’ll reveal the hidden downsides and real reasons behind my decision. If you’re thinking about buying a Tesla, don’t miss this! ⚡
The Tesla Model 3 Experience: Love at First Drive? 😍
🔥 Aesthetics and Design: Still a Head-Turner
Tesla’s futuristic design is a masterpiece! The ceramic-coated white exterior looks premium and the flush door handles give it a high-end feel. Over the past 32,000 kilometers and 14 Malaysia trips, my Model 3 has been my ultimate road trip buddy. But does the design make up for its flaws? 🤔
✅ Build Quality: Improved, But Still Not Perfect
Tesla has come a long way from its early build-quality issues. The Highland refresh feels more solid, but minor panel gaps and road noise are still noticeable. Luxury rival or just hype? Let’s dig deeper. 👇
🚗 Performance & Charging: The Good & The Bad
⚡ Super Fast Charging, But Is It Enough?
-
11 kW AC charging + 175 kW DC fast charging (RWD)
-
250 kW DC charging for Long Range/Performance versions
-
The supercharger network is great, but what about remote areas?
✅ Smooth acceleration & silent drive ❌ Battery range anxiety in certain locations
🏕️ Road Trip Ready? Maybe Not!
-
Spacious trunk, all-weather mats & easy-to-clean interior
-
Great for luggage, bikes & camping gear
-
But harsh ride quality on rough roads!
Interior & Tech: Innovation or Overkill?
📺 Rear Passenger Perks
Tesla’s minimalist cabin is tech-lover’s heaven! Rear passengers get: ✅ A touchscreen for Netflix, YouTube & gaming ✅ Live trip tracking to avoid 'Are we there yet?' moments
🖥️ Front Cabin Features: All Digital, All the Time
The 15-inch touchscreen controls everything: ✅ Frequent software updates = new features every few months ✅ Heated & ventilated seats for year-round comfort ❌ No physical buttons = annoying for quick adjustments
Why I’m REALLY Selling My Tesla Model 3 (Hidden Downsides!)
1. Range Anxiety in Remote Areas
🚨 Tesla’s Supercharger network is growing, but planning long trips is still tricky! If you're traveling outside major cities, finding a charging station can be stressful. Not ideal for road trip lovers!
2. Harsh Ride Quality
The stiff suspension makes bumpy roads feel like a roller coaster ride. If comfort is a priority, you might want to reconsider.
3. Tesla Service & Repairs = Frustration
🛠️ Tesla’s service centers have long wait times. Scheduling repairs and getting spare parts can be a headache. Luxury car, but premium service? Not quite.
4. Too Much Tech = Too Distracting
🎛️ Everything is touchscreen-controlled—even adjusting air vents! It looks cool, but sometimes, simple tasks feel unnecessarily complicated.
Should YOU Buy a Tesla Model 3 in 2025?
💡 If you love cutting-edge tech, fast charging & eco-friendly driving, the Tesla Model 3 is still a great choice! ❌ But if you prioritize comfort, easy service, and long-range trips without planning, think twice before buying.
