Discover Ratan Tata's latest venture, a state-of-the-art animal hospital in Mumbai, designed to provide round-the-clock care for pets and strays. Covering 2.2 acres and built for Rs 165 crore, this facility aims to be a haven for dogs, cats, rabbits, and more, reflecting Tata's deep love for animals and commitment to their welfare.

Ratan Tata, the famous business leader, is about to open a big animal hospital in Mumbai. This hospital is special because it's made to take care of pets like dogs, cats, and rabbits, and it's open all the time, day and night. Tata loves dogs a lot and even made a special place for stray dogs at his company's main office.

Now 86 years old, Tata has been working on this project for a long time. He got the idea after he had trouble finding good medical care for his injured dog. The new hospital cost Rs 165 crore to build, covers 2.2 acres and will be one of the largest places in India where pets can get medical help anytime.

Tata said pets are like family and need good places to get medical care. He shared a story about taking his dog to the US for treatment but wished Mumbai had its top-quality vet hospital. After retiring in 2012, he finally started working on making this hospital a reality.

The hospital was supposed to be built in a different place at first, but Tata wanted it to be easier for pet owners to get there, especially in emergencies. The project was delayed by COVID and other problems, but now it's ready to open.

The hospital can take care of 200 animals at a time and has a British vet in charge. It also works with vet schools in the UK for training. Besides helping pets, there's a special part of the hospital just for stray dogs, run by a charity. Tata said he's always dreamed of making a modern place in the city where animals can be looked after well. He's happy to see his dream come true. This new hospital is expected to be a big help for pets and stray animals in Mumbai.
