A recent study on deepfake content discovered that nearly all the fake videos online (98%) are related to adult content. What's more, almost all of these fake adult videos (99%) feature women who appear extremely lifelike.

According to the 2023 State of Deepfakes report from Home Security Heroes, a U.S.-based organization, famous individuals, especially those in entertainment, are at greater risk because their visibility and potential impact on their careers make them more vulnerable to deepfake manipulation.

The viral video shows a woman entering an elevator, but her face has been digitally edited by Popular actress Rashmika Mandanna. This whole incident has not just made a widespread controversy but calls for legal action too. What Does Deepfake mean?

In response to Facebook's failure to remove a video of Mark Zuckerberg bragging about user control, artist Bill Posters posted it on Instagram. The video used Canny AI's VDR software and the hashtag #deepfake. While visually convincing, the voice exposed it, underlining the importance of skilled actors in deepfake controversy.

Not a typical deepfake, but it highlighted concerns in geopolitics. In 2019, a manipulated video of Nancy Pelosi slurring words went viral. Facebook initially refused to remove it, but it was later taken down.
