The widely used streaming service will allow its users to dub the content they are producing.
Youtube, which started now wants to make dubbing to other languages easier by giving it’s creator community some help from a new AI.
As per an article by Jay Peters on Verge, The company announced that on Thursday it’s bringing over a team from Aloud, which is an AI-powered dubbing service from Google’s Area 120 incubator.
This tool will first transcribe the video and give it to the respective creator to check and edit. After this, it will translate and produce the dubbed version, and that’s how it will work.
As per sources, For now, The application is testing the tool with hundreds of its creators. Aloud currently supports a couple of languages like English, Spanish, and Portuguese and there’s still more to come.
Even now this tool can be useful in growing the community of creators and adding multi-language dubs in their videos.
In addition, Youtube is also working to make translated audio tracks that can sound more like the creator’s voice with their expressions and lips sync. But these features are planned for the next year.
