The ongoing conflict in the Middle East, with a focus on the Israeli-Palestinian situation, has raised concerns as world leaders seek to prevent further escalation. Get insights into the latest developments, international responses, and the humanitarian crisis.

Today, The media world is witnessing the horrifying torments in the arabic regions. Their state is making our hearts shiver. As per Reuters, Gaza Strip had an estimated population exceeding 2 million, out of which about 65% of the population is under 18.  The war which has now followed for 18 days now killed about 5000 people and injured many, which includes the higher ratio of women and children.

Recently, Many national leaders shared their views on the conflict. During their phone conversation on October 24, U.S. President Joe Biden and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia decided to pursue more comprehensive diplomacy "to maintain stability across the region and prevent the conflict from expanding," according to the White House.

Leader’s Voice to Catastrophe

Speaking via video link from Doha, Tor Wennesland, the Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, expressed the fear that the world is on the verge of a catastrophic chasm that might alter the course of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and potentially the Middle East as a whole.  He expressed his condemnation of the October 7th atrocity carried out by Hamas on Israelis, saying that the events of the previous 11 days had stoked tensions and revived regional alliances.  This conflict poses a "very, very real and extremely dangerous" possibility of spreading.

Similarly, the UN called for a ceasefire which Israel rejected and remarked a ceasefire is not possible with someone who swore to kill and destroy.

When asked if the US was pushing Israel to postpone a ground invasion of Gaza in the midst of the continuing conflict brought on by Hamas' unprecedented strikes on Israel on October 7, US President Joe Biden replied that Israelis could make their own decisions. The Israel Defense Forces declared on Tuesday that they were prepared to "invade" Gaza, around 19 days into the conflict, according to The Jerusalem Post. Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi, the chief of staff of the IDF, declared, "To be clear, we are ready to invade."

Aids to the Suffering Families

In a post on Social Media, the UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator said that more aid arrived in 14 trucks passing through Rafah, a crossing by Egypt.

When a few weeks ago, Palestinians fired thousands of rockets over the land of Israel, US President Biden stated that they stand with Israel and never fail to have their back. They will also make sure that they may continue to defend themselves.

According to a UN group providing aid to Gaza, a hospital employee in one of these shelter homes informed the BBC that there is an extreme shortage of supplies.

According to humanitarian reports, over a million people are internally displaced in Gaza, water systems are only functioning at 5% of their typical capacity, and hospitals are overworked and in danger of collapsing.

After Hamas seized power in 2006, years of restriction had left Gaza in a terrible humanitarian situation, and UN agencies have now labeled the current state of affairs as "catastrophic".

The UN organization that aids Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, leaving some 406,000 people seeking refuge in its facilities. It is also essential that Palestinians in Gaza have safe access to humanitarian aid.

Rescue operations are working their best to provide help to the injured. But, The real question is how long are they themselves safe.

History is a Proof……War is Destruction

As per Wikipedia, The census of 1860 has shown that the American Civil War killed about 8% of Americans in the age group 13 to 50.
Eight million of the sixty million European troops who were called up for duty during World War I died, seven million were left permanently crippled, and fifteen million suffered severe injuries.
The Soviet Association lost around 27 million individuals during the conflict, about a portion of all The Second Great War casualties.
Do you know? World War II is still blamed for the Great Depression.

What will this suffering bring?

Let’s Hope for the Better!
