Sibling-duo rocks CA Final, Nandini Agrawal achieves AIR 1 while Sachin ranks 18.

CA foundation and Final results for June 2021 have been declared by the ICAI. And the Sibling-duo of Nandini Agarwal and Sachin Agarwal have made short work of the competition.

Of the 83,606 candidates that were registered for the CA final exam, 19-year-old Nandini has scored AIR 1 while 21-year-old Sachin has scored AIR 18.

Sachin and Nandini, both students of the Victor Convent School in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district, passed class 12 in 2017.

Nandini being a prodigious student was able to skip 2 classes in her prior education placing her in the same grade as her brother.

Nandini, who is currently pursuing her articleship from PWC says this about her preparation journey, “My brother and I have been studying together since school. We also prepared for IPCC and CA final together. Our strategy has been simple — we support each other but we critique even more. When we solve a question paper, he checks my answers and I check his. There have been moments when I was losing hope but my brother's support got me on track,”

“Congratulations to the star siblings of Morena, Madhya Pradesh!,”, congratulated Piyush Goyal, the union minister of Commerce & Industry to these prodigious students, through his official Twitter handle.

Sachin who is pursuing his articleship from Gurugram-based firm, One Point Adviser, says, “There were times when we fought like crazy but that only lasted for some time and we got back to normal. I would have been happy with even 70 percent marks as I did not have high expectations but I knew that Nandini will do great. She's brilliant and deserves all the success. In many ways, she is my mentor,”

Nandini and Sachin both advise young CA aspirants to follow the ICAI study material for acing the exam as “it has worked really well for them”.

When it comes to the casual and yet slight discrimination faced by girls regarding their competitive examination preparations, Nandini has this to say,

“Girls often get fewer chances to prove themselves as compared to boys. If they cannot crack any competitive exam in one or two attempts, then they are asked to give it up, whereas the same does not apply to boys. I have been fortunate enough to have very supportive parents, but all parents should help their kids follow their dreams, be it a boy or a girl,”

Since most of their preparation was done in the pandemic time, they didn't let it hamper their preparation and kept surging forward.
