Kia has revived its flagship sedan—the K9—for 2025, launching the model quietly on May 2. But its low-key debut doesn't reflect what it brings to the table. With premium features, powerful engines, and smart pricing, the 2025 K9 stands as a serious contender in the luxury sedan market, taking aim at rivals like the Genesis G90.

Refined Features That Matter

Every trim now includes illuminated rear seatbelt buckles—a small but thoughtful addition for nighttime drives. The top-end Master trim goes further with an Ergo Motion seat for the front passenger, air-cell lumbar support, and power headrests.

Based on the Platinum trim, the Master adds more: a full monitoring suite, comfort package, 19-inch alloy wheels, head-up display, and AWD. The driver’s seat also gets Ergo Motion tech with adjustable bolsters and a seat extension for ultimate comfort.

Powerful Engines, Smooth Ride

Buyers can choose between two strong engine options. The 3.8-liter V6 makes 315 hp and 298 lb-ft of torque, returning 8.2 to 9 km/L. The 3.3-liter turbocharged engine ups the game with 370 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque while still offering 8–8.7 km/L.

Adding to the premium ride, the K9 features a predictive transmission system and preview electronic suspension, helping the car adapt to road conditions in real time.

A Silent Entry with a Loud Statement

Despite minimal marketing, the 2025 K9 makes a big impression. It delivers a true luxury experience without the sky-high price tag, offering value, comfort, and performance that could challenge segment leaders.
