KTM India is set to launch the 2025 edition of the 390 Adventure today, January 30, 2025, at 9:30 PM GMT. The new model, showcased at the India Bike Week festival in December 2024, is expected to be the S variant, which emphasizes enhanced off-road and touring capabilities.
Design and Features:
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure S boasts a comprehensive redesign, featuring vertically stacked LED headlamps, new signature LED DRLs, and a high-mounted front fender. The bike's increased height and size aim to provide better comfort for taller riders.
Engine and Performance:
Powering the new 390 Adventure S is a 399 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, derived from the third-generation KTM 390 Duke. While official specifications are pending, the engine is anticipated to deliver approximately 45 bhp and 39 Nm of peak torque. Adjustments in gear ratios and sprocket sizes may enhance low-end power delivery. The engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox, featuring a slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.
Variants:
KTM will offer the 2025 390 Adventure in two variants:
-
390 Adventure X: Equipped with alloy wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear), this variant is tailored for touring and is expected to be more budget-friendly.
-
390 Adventure S: Designed for off-road enthusiasts, it features 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoked wheels with tubeless tires. This variant is anticipated to include advanced electronic aids compared to the X model.
Features:
The 390 Adventure S comes with a new 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, traction control modes, ABS modes, multiple riding modes, cornering ABS, and cruise control.
Expected Pricing and Competition:
The outgoing KTM 390 Adventure is priced at ₹2.84 lakh for the X variant with alloy wheels, while the top variant equipped with spoke wheels is priced between ₹3.41 lakh and ₹3.64 lakh. The new 2025 model is expected to see a slight price increase, with the range starting at ₹3 lakh for the X variant and reaching up to ₹3.80 lakh for the fully-equipped S version. At this price point, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure will compete with models like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the Honda NX500.
Bookings for the new 390 Adventure range are currently open, with deliveries anticipated to commence in February. Further details will be available following the official launch.
