The Opel Grandland GSe, a high-performance version of the brand’s flagship SUV, is set for a comeback. However, this time around, it could arrive as a fully electric vehicle (EV). Recently captured in spy shots, the prototype, still under camouflage, hints at a more aggressive and sportier stance compared to previous models.
The new Grandland GSe will adopt a refreshed design with tweaks aimed at enhancing its performance appeal. Key styling changes could include body-colored accents on the bumper cladding, side skirts, and wheel arches. The test model also features black alloy wheels with a diamond-cut finish, which are larger and sport a new design compared to the current Grandland GS Line.

The Opel Grandland GSe is expected to benefit from Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, which allows for mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. Unlike its predecessor, which offered a hybrid setup, the GSe will likely embrace a zero-emission powertrain.
The prototype hints at this shift with its lack of a front bumper intake, typically seen on combustion engine variants.
