Honda is stepping into the future of electric vehicles (EVs) with the introduction of its new 0 Series prototypes at CES 2025. The company unveiled two models, the Honda 0 Saloon and the 0 SUV, marking a significant step toward their production-ready versions.
Familiar Designs with Futuristic Features
The Honda 0 Saloon closely resembles a concept shown last year, while the 0 SUV takes design cues from the 2024 Space Hub concept. The SUV features a sporty crossover body and stands out with a two-tone finish, pixelated headlights, an illuminated Honda logo, and U-shaped tail lights. The chunky front bumper, designed for battery cooling, adds a robust touch to its look.
The Saloon, on the other hand, sports a sleek, cab-forward design and wedge-shaped profile. It introduces futuristic styling with larger headlights compared to the previous concept. A prominent black panel replaces the front screen, giving the car a bold, modern appearance.
Advanced Interiors and Tech
Both vehicles share a cutting-edge cabin layout featuring a dashboard packed with multiple screens, including a digital instrument cluster, a central touchscreen, and additional screens for passengers. The cars come with a yoke-style steering wheel, enhancing the futuristic vibe.
Powerful Performance and Smart Features
The prototypes are expected to come with rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations, delivering 241 horsepower and an estimated range of 483 km. They will also include Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities, allowing drivers to engage in activities like watching movies or attending calls while on the road. Honda’s next-generation operating system, ASIMO OS, will power these vehicles.
Launch Timeline
Honda plans to start production of the 0 Series vehicles at its EV Hub in Ohio, USA. The 0 SUV will hit the market in early 2026, followed by the 0 Saloon later that year.
With the unveiling of the 0 Series, Honda reaffirms its commitment to pushing the boundaries of EV technology, blending style, innovation, and sustainability.
