The MG Cyberster, MG Motor’s first all-electric roadster, has been seen testing in Mumbai in its English White color ahead of its official India launch. The car was first unveiled at the 2025 Auto Expo, alongside the M9 premium electric MPV.
Premium Dealership & Design
MG plans to sell the Cyberster through its Select Premium Showrooms, which focus on high-end electric models. Other MG vehicles like the Comet EV, Astor, Hector, ZS EV, and Gloster will continue to be available at regular dealerships.
The Cyberster boasts a retro-futuristic design with exciting features like scissor doors and an electrically retractable fabric roof. It will be available in four colors: Dynamic Red, Inca Yellow, Cosmic Silver, and English White.
It measures 4,535 mm in length, 1,913 mm in width, and 1,329 mm in height, with a 2,900 mm wheelbase. The car sits on 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and features a honeycomb mesh grille, LED headlamps, arrow-shaped taillamps, and a full-width LED light bar at the rear.
Luxury Interior & Technology
Inside, the Cyberster offers a black and red-themed cabin with two sporty bucket seats that have electric adjustment, memory function, and ventilation.
The dashboard is equipped with a triple-screen setup:
- 7-inch digital instrument cluster
- 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay)
- 7-inch touchscreen for AC controls
Other luxury features include an 8-speaker Bose sound system, touch-enabled climate control, and a multi-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel.
Power & Performance
The Cyberster is powered by dual electric motors paired with a 77 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 450 km. The twin-motor setup produces 510 hp and 725 Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The top speed is 180 km/h.
Globally, the car is available in Trophy and GT variants, with the GT version featuring dual motors and four driving modes: Comfort, Custom, Sport, and Track.
Expected Price & Competition
The expected price of the MG Cyberster in India is between Rs 75 lakh and Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom). It does not have a direct competitor but is seen as an electric alternative to the BMW Z4.
With its stunning design, powerful performance, and luxurious features, the MG Cyberster is set to make a strong impact in India’s premium electric sports car market. 🚗⚡
