Hero MotoCorp has officially launched the new-generation Hero Destini 125 in India, marking the return of this popular scooter with a fresh design and enhanced features. After a four-month wait since the first test ride in September 2024, the scooter is now available in three variants, with prices starting at ₹80,450 for the base VX variant. The mid ZX variant is priced at ₹89,300, while the top-spec Destini 125 ZX+ will cost ₹90,300. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi, and are introductory offers.
What's New in the Hero Destini 125?
The latest version of the Hero Destini 125 comes with a complete redesign, adding a retro flare to its overall look. The scooter features several industry-first elements such as an illuminated start switch and auto-canceling turn indicators. In addition, Hero has filed 30 patent applications for the new Destini 125.
Improvements have also been made to the ride comfort. The seat has been extended for more space, while legroom and the floorboard are more spacious. The scooter is now fitted with 12-inch alloy wheels on both ends, enhancing its stability and performance.

Hero Destini 125: Engine and Specifications
Under the hood, the Hero Destini 125 is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. It produces 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The scooter comes with a CVT automatic gearbox, which helps deliver a smooth and convenient riding experience.
Hero has refined the engine with new internal components to offer better refinement and lower NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) levels. The front suspension includes telescopic forks, while the rear is fitted with a single shock.
Fuel Efficiency and Storage
Hero claims a fuel efficiency of 59 kmpl for the new Destini 125. The scooter is equipped with i3S start/stop technology that helps in saving fuel. It also offers a large under-seat storage capacity of 19 liters, making it highly practical for daily use.
Features
For braking, the base VX variant comes with drum brakes at the front and rear, while the higher ZX trims are equipped with a 190mm front disc brake for improved stopping power. The new model also comes with a wider rear tire for enhanced grip and stability. The top variants are fitted with a digital console that offers Bluetooth connectivity, adding modern technology to the ride.
The new Hero Destini 125 now competes with popular models like the Jupiter 125, Honda Activa 125, and Yamaha Fascino 125, bringing style, performance, and affordability to the Indian scooter market.
