CAT 2024 Test Takers: Key Statistics
Out of 3.29 lakh registered eligible candidates, the breakdown of candidates by gender is as follows:
- 1.19 lakh were female
- 2.10 lakh were male
- 14 were transgender candidates
Among the 2.93 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam, the gender-wise data is:
- 1.07 lakh were female
- 1.86 lakh were male
- 9 were transgender candidates
Category-Wise Data
For the 3.29 lakh registered candidates, the category-wise distribution is:
- General: 67.53%
- EWS: 4.80%
- NC-OBC: 16.91%
- SC: 8.51%
- ST: 2.25%
- PwD (across categories): 0.44%
Out of the 2.93 lakh candidates who appeared, the category-wise statistics are:
- General: 67.20%
- EWS: 5.09%
- NC-OBC: 17.5%
