CBSE Result 2025: When and How to Check Your Scores
Millions of students across India are eagerly awaiting the CBSE Class 10th and 12th results for 2025. While the exact date remains unannounced as of May 2nd, 2025, a CBSE official has confirmed the results won't be released today and possibly not until after the weekend. This article provides you with all the essential information you need to know about checking your results and what happens next.
When Will the CBSE Results Be Released?
Although initial reports suggested a possible release on May 2nd, the CBSE has officially stated that the date is yet to be finalized. Based on previous years (May 13th, 2024, and May 12th, 2023), a release sometime during the first or second week of May is highly anticipated. Keep a close watch on the official CBSE websites for updates.
Where to Check Your CBSE Result
Once released, you can access your results on the following official CBSE websites: cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in. You'll need your roll number, date of birth, and other details from your admit card to access your marksheet. The online marksheet is provisional; you'll need to collect your original marksheet from your school.
What's on Your Marksheet?
Your CBSE marksheet will include your name, subject-wise total marks (theory and practical scores), your overall qualifying status (pass or fail), and other relevant details. The minimum passing marks are 33% in each subject for Class 10 and 33% separately in theory and practical components for Class 12. Grace marks might be considered in certain circumstances.
Accessing Your Results Through DigiLocker
The CBSE has partnered with DigiLocker, a government initiative, to provide digital mark sheets. This offers a secure and convenient way to access your results and certificate immediately upon release. You can access your documents via the DigiLocker website or app using your credentials.
What Happens After the Results?
Students unhappy with their scores can apply for re-evaluation or verification through the official CBSE website. Compartmental exams for students who fail in one or two subjects are typically scheduled for July.
Stay Updated!
Remember to check the official CBSE websites regularly for the latest updates on the result release date and time. Don't rely on unofficial sources for information. Good luck!
