The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 will be held from February 1 to 16 by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. If you're appearing for the exam, make sure to follow the guidelines for a smooth exam experience.
IIT Roorkee has relocated exam centers in Prayagraj due to the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela. Candidates who selected Prayagraj as their exam city will now take the test at new centers in Lucknow. Updated admit cards with the new venues have been issued.
Important Items to Carry:
- Admit card
- Valid government-issued ID proof
- Verify details on your admit card such as name, paper combination, photograph, signature, exam center, and timings.
Items Not Allowed:
- Personal calculators, watches, wallets, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, or any other electronic gadgets.
- Books, charts, tables, loose papers, handbooks, pouches, or boxes are strictly prohibited. Anyone found with these items will be disqualified, even if not used.
Other Guidelines:
- Arrive at the exam center at least 30-45 minutes early to avoid traffic and crowds.
- A scribble pad will be provided for rough work. Write your name and registration number on it before using it.
- You can enter your assigned seat 40 minutes before the exam starts.
- Leaving the exam hall before the official end time is not allowed.
