Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced the admission process for the academic session 2025-26. The university has introduced 14 new courses and released a detailed prospectus on its official website admission.jmi.ac.in. Interested students can check eligibility criteria, application deadlines, entrance test dates, course fees, and duration in the prospectus.
Admissions Through CUET
For this academic year, 25 programmes will admit students based on CUET (Common University Entrance Test) merit scores. This includes:

This is an increase from last year when 20 programmes were part of the CUET admission process.

JMI has added 14 new courses, including:

- Bachelor of Design (BDes) – 4 years
- BSc (Hons) Computer Science – 4 years
Diploma & Certificate Courses (Self-Financed Evening Programmes):
Design and Innovation, Textile Design, Graphic Art (Print Making), Art & Aesthetics, Creative Photography, Calligraphy, Art Appreciation & Art Writing
Postgraduate & PG Diploma Courses:

Foreign Students and NRI Admissions
To attract more foreign students and NRIs, JMI has reduced fees for applicants from SAARC countries and foreign nationals applying for Diploma courses at the University Polytechnic. Additionally, two seats in the BDS programme (admitting through NEET) have been reserved for foreign students.
For PhD admissions, foreign students can now attend interviews online instead of traveling to India for in-person interviews.
Entrance Test Details
JMI will conduct entrance tests for 29 programmes in eight cities, including Malegaon and Bhopal.
