The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has asked all pharmacy students to log in to their profiles on the DIGI-PHARMed portal and update their personal and demographic information within 15 days. This is part of PCI’s effort to digitize and simplify the processes for institutions and pharmacists across the country.

In a notice sent to pharmacy institutions and students on February 14, PCI emphasized that all students should complete their profile updates within the given time. The DIGI-PHARMed portal, which supports the pharmacy education sector, has now granted access to all approved pharmacy students.

Students will receive their login details via their registered mobile numbers. If there are any issues with contact details such as email or phone numbers, the PCI will inform students about the process to resolve them.

The Council also stressed that pharmacy institutions must ensure that their students complete the profile update within the designated timeframe. This comes after PCI took steps to remove fake data from the portal by blocking profiles with invalid or duplicate information.

Additionally, the PCI has blacklisted about 91,500 pharmacists who were found with fake or duplicate entries and asked them to create new profiles for fresh verification. The Council is also monitoring institutions to prevent misuse of pharmacist documents for unauthorized re-registrations or fake account creation.
