- Total Qualified Candidates: 18,174 candidates have been provisionally recommended for appointment.
- Document Verification: Selected candidates will now undergo document verification by the respective departments.
- Cut-offs and Merit List: SSC has published category-wise and post-wise cut-off marks along with the merit list.

- Tier 1 Result: Announced on December 5, 2024

SSC CGL 2024: Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case of a tie between two or more candidates, SSC resolved the ranking based on:
- Marks in Paper 2 for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Statistical Investigator (SI).
- Marks in Section 1, Paper 1 of Tier 2 Exam.
- Date of birth (Older candidate given preference).
- Alphabetical order of the candidates’ names.
Important Updates
- Withheld Results: SSC has withheld the final results of 1,267 candidates.
- Rejected Candidates: 253 candidates have been rejected, debarred, or their results cancelled.
- No Reserve List: SSC has stated that no waiting list or reserve list will be prepared. Unfilled vacancies will be carried forward to the next year.
Next Steps for Selected Candidates
Candidates who have been allotted departments should expect communication for document verification and appointment formalities. If no correspondence is received within six months, they must contact the respective department immediately.
