The UP Board Exam 2025, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), is underway across 8,140 exam centers. However, a major mistake has surfaced, raising concerns about the exam administration. Several Class 12 students at Kabool Kanya Inter College in Khatauli, Muzaffarnagar, received the wrong question paper during their exam.
Students Receive Hindi Literature Paper Instead of General Hindi
The incident took place during the second shift of the exam on Monday. Instead of the General Hindi paper, a group of Class 12 students were given the Hindi Literature question paper. This caused confusion and distress among the students.
Despite raising concerns with the invigilators, students were reportedly forced to attempt the incorrect paper. One of the affected students, Shalu Kumari, stated, "When we saw the paper was wrong, we told the teacher, but they threatened us, saying, 'You must attempt it. This is from the board.'" Even after completing the exam, the students were not given any resolution, and their attempts to contact the principal went unanswered.
Student Protests and Official Action
Following the mistake, students and their parents gathered outside the examination center in protest. The incident prompted an immediate response from the District Inspector of Schools, Rajkumar Srivastava. On Tuesday, he confirmed the mistake and announced disciplinary action against those responsible.
Srivastava stated, "After the exam, students reported the mix-up to the center administrator. We reviewed the records and removed the administrator and second administrator from their duties. A report has been sent to the UP Board for further action." However, there is no confirmation yet on whether a re-exam will be conducted for the affected students.
