The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the registration for the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) 2025 today, March 11. Interested candidates can apply online at upsconline.gov.in.

UPSC CMS 2025 aims to fill 705 vacancies in two categories:
Category-I:
- Medical Officers Grade (General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre, Central Health Service) – 226 vacancies
Category-II:
- Assistant Divisional Medical Officer (Railways) – 450 vacancies
- General Duty Medical Officer (New Delhi Municipal Council) – 9 vacancies
- General Duty Medical Officer Gr-II (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) – 20 vacancies
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- For most posts: Below 32 years as of August 1, 2025.
- For Medical Officers in Central Health Services: Maximum 35 years.
- Age relaxation applies to reserved category candidates as per government rules.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed both the written and practical parts of the final MBBS exam.
- Those awaiting their final exam results can apply provisionally but must submit proof of passing later.
- Candidates still completing their rotating internship can also apply but will be appointed only after completing it.
- All candidates must meet the physical and medical fitness criteria set by UPSC.
Application Fee
- ₹200 for General/OBC candidates.
- No fee for SC, ST, PwBD, and female candidates.
