The popular TV show Anupamaa has been making headlines recently, and not always for the right reasons. After the departure of several actors from the show, the makers decided to introduce two new faces—Shivam Khajuria and Alisha Parveen—who were cast as the new leads. Their on-screen chemistry as Prem and Rahi was well-received by the audience. However, in a shocking turn of events, Alisha Parveen has now been replaced by Adrija Roy.
Alisha Parveen Exits The Show Anupamaa
Alisha Parveen, who played Rahi's character, expressed her shock and disappointment about the sudden decision to replace her. In an interview with ETimes TV, Alisha revealed that she was completely unaware of the reasons behind her exit. "It is shocking and disappointing. I am not sure what exactly happened and why I am being replaced! Today was my last day on the set of Anupamaa. It was a fantastic opportunity, and everybody loves my chemistry with Shivam Khajuria. But I have no clue why I was suddenly replaced," she said.
Alisha further explained that such changes are common in the TV industry. "I had a meeting yesterday and was told about this decision. I am completely clueless, but it happens sometimes. I will focus on my future projects now," she added. The reason behind her sudden ouster remains unclear.
The Ongoing Drama Behind the Scenes
The recent changes in the cast are not the first in the show’s history. Several actors, including Paras Kalnawat, Nidhi Shah, and Sudhanshu Pandey, have also left the show citing issues with the lead actress, Rupali Ganguly. While the actors never openly blamed Rupali, both Nidhi and Paras hinted at tensions in a recent interview. Paras revealed that his scenes were reduced due to the protagonist's disapproval, and Gaurav Khanna and Madalsa Sharma also quit the show.
As of now, producer Rajan Shahi has not made any official statement regarding Alisha Parveen’s departure from Anupamaa. Fans will have to wait to learn more about the reasons behind these changes.
