Telugu superstar Allu Arjun returned to his Hyderabad residence on Saturday morning after being granted interim bail in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. The actor was arrested on Friday in connection with the tragic incident that occurred during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4.
Upon reaching home, Allu Arjun expressed his gratitude to his fans, assuring them that he was doing well. "Nothing to worry, I am doing well. I would like to thank my fans for their support. I am a law-abiding citizen and will fully cooperate with the police. My heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased. The accident was unintentional, and I deeply regret what happened," he said.
Before returning home, Allu Arjun and his father, Allu Aravind, visited their production house, Geetha Arts. Popular film producer Dil Raju also visited the actor after he was released from the Chanchalguda jail.
The actor’s family, including his wife Sneha Reddy and son Allu Ayaan, were eagerly waiting for his return early on Saturday morning. Fans of Allu Arjun gathered outside his residence in Jubilee Hills, cheering for the star as he arrived home.
The incident took place at the Sandhya Theatre during the film's premiere, leading to the death of 39-year-old Revathi. Her 8-year-old son was also injured and hospitalized. The Hyderabad police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management based on a complaint filed by the deceased woman’s family. The charges include several sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The Telangana High Court granted Allu Arjun interim bail late Friday, allowing him to be released on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. The arrest and subsequent bail have sparked much discussion among fans and media alike.
In a dramatic turn of events, Allu Arjun was initially taken to Chikkadpally police station and later produced before the Nampally court. The actor’s legal team continues to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
