Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and model-dancer Dhanashree Verma have officially parted ways after the Bombay High Court granted them a divorce. The couple had been living separately for over two and a half years before finalizing their separation through mutual consent.

Chahal’s T-Shirt Grabs Attention

After the court’s decision, Chahal was spotted leaving the courtroom wearing a black T-shirt with the bold message: “Be your own sugar daddy.” His choice of clothing quickly caught the public’s attention, sparking discussions on social media. Some users found it amusing, while others linked it to ongoing speculation about his divorce settlement.

One user commented, “He literally wore a T-shirt saying ‘Be your own Sugar Daddy’—he knew exactly what he was doing!” Another wrote, “The words on his shirt say it all.”

Divorce Finalized Before IPL

Chahal and Verma had initially filed for divorce in February, requesting a waiver of the mandatory six-month cooling-off period. The Bombay High Court approved their request, fast-tracking the process so that Chahal could participate in the upcoming IPL season, starting March 22.

Reports had earlier suggested that Dhanashree was set to receive ₹60 crore as alimony, leading to widespread trolling against her. However, official documents reveal that Chahal actually paid her ₹4.35 crore. The couple had originally agreed on ₹4.75 crore, but the payment was made in installments.

Court Ruling and Settlement

The Bandra family court had initially refused to waive the cooling-off period, citing partial compliance with the agreed settlement. However, the High Court overruled this decision, considering that the couple had already been separated since June 2022 and had resolved their financial matters through mediation.

With the divorce now finalized, Chahal is set to focus on his cricket career, representing Punjab Kings in the upcoming IPL season. Meanwhile, Dhanashree Verma has yet to make a public statement regarding the divorce or the viral reaction to Chahal’s T-shirt message.
