Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, is facing serious trouble after his controversial remarks on the show ‘India’s Got Latent’. A parliamentary IT panel is considering summoning him following complaints from multiple MPs and FIRs filed against him and comedian Samay Raina.

What Happened?

During the show, Ranveer asked a contestant an inappropriate question, which led to a massive backlash. The video was later removed from YouTube after the government issued a notice, calling it provocative content.

Several politicians, including BJD MP Sasmit Patra and Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, have condemned the remarks. Chaturvedi criticized the use of abusive language in the name of comedy, especially from a public figure like Ranveer, who has interviewed politicians and even received an award from the Prime Minister.

Ranveer's Apology

Following the controversy, Ranveer apologized on social media, admitting that his comment was inappropriate.

“My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. I am just here to say sorry,” he wrote.

“It is extremely unfortunate… Stricter measures are needed to prevent such remarks,” Patra said.
