Film producer Boney Kapoor recently shared his feelings about his health and his late wife, Sridevi, who he says always encouraged him to lose weight. In an interview with News18, Boney opened up about how Sridevi's influence continues to motivate him even after her passing.
Boney recalled how Sridevi was always particular about her health and fitness. "The seeds were sown by my wife," he said. "She was always after me to lose weight. She was a health-conscious person herself. I used to go for a walk with her and even went to the gym with her. She was very clear about when she wanted to eat and what she wanted to eat. I tried my best to do that, but I couldn’t always follow through."
Getting emotional about his late wife, Boney added, “I feel Sri is still around me. My wife is still around me, motivating me to lose weight. ‘Lose weight’, she said.”
Sridevi tragically passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai, where she had gone to attend a family function. Her sudden death left a void in the film industry, as she was a beloved and iconic actress.
Sridevi, born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan in 1963, is remembered for her legendary roles in Hindi films like Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma, and English Vinglish, to name a few. She also made a significant impact in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. Her final film, Mom, earned her a posthumous National Award for Best Actress.
Sridevi is survived by her husband Boney and their two daughters, Jahnvi and Khushi Kapoor. Jahnvi, who made her Bollywood debut with Dhadak in 2018, was last seen in Devara: Part 1. She has another project, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar, lined up.
Khushi Kapoor, on the other hand, made her debut in Zoya Akhtar's upcoming film The Archies, a musical that takes audiences through the lives of the beloved characters from Riverdale. The film also stars Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal, and Yuvraj Menda.
