Sohum Shah’s latest film, Crazxy, had a slow start at the box office, earning ₹90 lakh on its opening day. Directed by Girish Kohli and produced by Sohum Shah, the film faced tough competition from Chhaava, which is currently dominating the box office.
While Crazxy has received positive reviews from audiences, it is a niche film that may not appeal to the mass audience. As per early reports on Saturday morning, the film added ₹4 lakh to its collection, bringing the total earnings to ₹94 lakh so far.
On the other hand, Chhaava continues its successful run, collecting ₹13 crore on its second Friday and crossing the ₹400 crore mark. Movies with mass appeal and single-screen traction tend to perform better at the box office compared to niche films.
Despite the slow start, Crazxy has received good feedback on social media. Many viewers praised Sohum Shah’s performance and the film’s gripping storyline. A user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "Just watched #Crazxy and it's an extremely well-made film. Sohum Shah carries the entire movie on his shoulders with a powerful performance."
With strong word of mouth, the film might see an increase in collections over the weekend. Fans are hopeful that Crazxy will gain momentum in the coming days.
