Dhanashree Verma’s family has strongly denied reports claiming that she demanded Rs 60 crore in alimony from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal after their divorce. In an official statement, a family member called these rumors "baseless" and expressed outrage over the spread of false information.

"We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. These rumors are completely false. It is irresponsible to spread such misinformation, causing unnecessary speculation and distress for both families. We urge the media to verify facts before publishing such misleading reports," the statement read.

Dhanashree’s lawyer, Aditi Mohoni, also addressed the situation, stating, "I have no comments to make on the proceedings as the matter is sub judice. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated."

Divorce Finalized Amidst Social Media Posts

Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal, who got married in 2020, finalized their divorce on February 20, 2025, in a Mumbai court. Reports suggest the couple had been living separately for 18 months due to compatibility issues and mutually decided to part ways.

Following the court proceedings, both shared cryptic messages on social media. Chahal posted, "God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I've been rescued that I don't even know about. Thank you, God, for always being there, even when I don't know it. Amen."

Dhanashree, on the other hand, shared a post about finding peace, stating, "From stressed to blessed. Isn't it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? If you're stressing about something today, know that you have a choice. You can either keep worrying or you can surrender it all to God and choose to pray about everything. There is power in having faith that God can work all things together for your good."

Media Urged to Verify Facts

With both parties choosing to maintain their privacy, the Verma family has urged the media and the public to respect their decision and avoid spreading unverified rumors. While neither Chahal nor Dhanashree explicitly mentioned their divorce in their social media posts, their messages suggest they are focusing on moving forward with positivity.
