The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has officially announced the nominations for the 2025 Oscars, marking the excitement for the 97th Academy Awards. Originally set for January 17, the announcement was delayed due to the wildfires in Los Angeles, but it was finally made on January 23 by actors and comedians Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang during a live-streamed event. The Oscars ceremony will take place on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre, with Conan O'Brien as the host.

Emilia Pérez leads the pack with an impressive 13 nominations, while Wicked and The Brutalist follow closely with 10 nominations each. In another exciting development, Anuja, a project supported by Priyanka Chopra, Guneet Monga, and Mindy Kaling, has earned a nomination in the Best Live-Action Short Film category.
