S Shankar’s much-awaited film Game Changer had a fantastic opening at the box office. Starring Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, and Anjali, the movie earned a massive Rs 186 crore worldwide on its first day, according to the makers.
In India, the film collected Rs 51.25 crore, performing better than Ram Charan’s previous solo release, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, which earned Rs 34 crore on its opening day in 2019. However, it fell short of the record set by Ram Charan and Jr NTR's blockbuster RRR, which made Rs 133 crore on Day 1.

- Telugu version: Rs 42 crore
- Hindi version: Rs 7 crore
- Tamil version: Rs 2.1 crore
- Kannada version: Rs 10 lakh
- Malayalam version: Rs 3 lakh
The Telugu version enjoyed strong audience turnout with an occupancy rate of 5me1.32% for morning shows, 39.33% for afternoon shows, and 50.53% for evening shows. Interestingly, the Hindi 4DX version’s afternoon shows had an impressive 82% occupancy.

A Big Moment for Director S Shankar
This film is a significant comeback for director S Shankar, as his previous release, Indian 2, managed only Rs 25.6 crore on its first day. His 2018 film 2.0, starring Rajinikanth, made over Rs 60 crore on Day 1 and went on to become one of the highest-grossing Tamil films, earning Rs 720 crore worldwide.
In Game Changer, Ram Charan takes on dual roles as IAS officer Ram Nandan and activist Appanna, showcasing his versatility. Kiara Advani plays the lead female role, Deepika, while Anjali appears as Parvathy. SJ Suryah stars as the corrupt politician Mopidevi, with Srikanth portraying the aging Chief Minister, Sathyamurthy.
