Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal is all set to stun audiences with his new movie Chhaava. Playing the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Vicky’s powerful look has already created a buzz ahead of the trailer release.
On January 20, 2025, the film’s makers shared striking posters of Vicky in his regal and fierce avatar on social media. His wife, Katrina Kaif, quickly showed her support by reposting the images on her Instagram Stories, adding fire emojis to express her excitement. Katrina’s reaction reflects the special bond and admiration between the star couple.
The posters present Vicky Kaushal as a warrior embodying the elements—earth, water, fire, and air—wielding weapons in intense battlefield scenes. The caption accompanying the posters read:
"Agni bhi woh, Paani bhi woh, Toofan bhi woh, Sher Shiva ka #CHHAAVA hai woh! (He is the fire, he is the water, he is the storm, Shiva’s lion, he is Chhaava)." The post also announced the trailer’s release on January 22, with the movie hitting cinemas on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025.
Many fans and industry friends praised Vicky’s look. Sunny Kaushal’s rumored girlfriend Sharvari called the posters “madness,” while fans flooded the comments with heart and fire emojis.
Chhaava marks Vicky Kaushal’s first collaboration with Rashmika Mandanna, who plays the role of Yesubai. Akshaye Khanna is cast as Aurangzeb. Written by Rishi Virmani and directed by Laxman Utekar, the historical drama is backed by Maddock Films and features music by AR Rahman.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal is also working on Love & War and Mahavatar. Katrina Kaif has Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra in her lineup, though updates about the project are still awaited.
