Keerthy Suresh, who recently made her Bollywood debut with Baby John, had an uncomfortable encounter with the paparazzi in Mumbai. The actor, who is well-known in the Tamil and Telugu film industries, is now making a mark with Hindi audiences.
On Thursday night, Keerthy was out in Mumbai, dressed in a denim outfit, posing for photographers after Christmas celebrations. As the photographers tried to get her attention, they mistakenly referred to her as Kriti. Keerthy quickly corrected them, saying, "Kriti nahi Keerthy."
Things took a more awkward turn when a few photographers started calling her 'dosa', a controversial term used for South Indian actors. Keerthy, visibly annoyed, responded, “Keerthy dosa nahi, Keerthy Suresh. Aur dosa mujhe pasand hai,” which translates to, "I’m not Keerthy dosa, I’m Keerthy Suresh. But I do like dosa."
Keerthy's Bollywood debut Baby John is directed by Kalees and stars Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff. Although this is her first Hindi film, Keerthy has already gained widespread recognition in the South, with hits like Rajinimurugan, Bairavaa, Sarkar, and Mahanati, for which she won a National Award.
In personal news, Keerthy married her long-time boyfriend, Antony Thattil, on December 12, 2024, in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Goa.
