Kunal Kamra Turns Down Bigg Boss Offer in His Signature Style
Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra is once again making headlines—this time, not for his sharp political jibes, but for turning down a popular reality show. Kamra revealed via Instagram Stories that he was approached to participate in the upcoming season of Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan.
Sharing a screenshot of a chat with someone claiming to be a casting agent, Kamra exposed the exchange where he was invited to consider joining the show.
The casting message read:
"I am handling the casting for this season of Bigg Boss and your name came up as someone they might find interesting. I know it might not have been on your radar, but honestly, it’s such a mad platform to show your real vibe and win over a massive audience. What do you think? Should we talk about it?"
In response, Kamra replied with his trademark sarcasm:
"I would much rather check into a mental hospital..."
He posted the story with a song from Salman Khan's film Radhe playing in the background, adding a layer of cheeky humour to the rejection. While Kamra didn’t clarify whether the offer was for Bigg Boss OTT or the television version Bigg Boss 19, his disinterest in reality TV was loud and clear.
This moment arrives amidst a wave of attention surrounding the comedian, following remarks he made about Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde during a recent performance in Mumbai.
Kamra’s take on Bigg Boss, a show known for its high drama and celebrity clashes, isn't entirely surprising. He has long been vocal about his views on media, entertainment, and politics—often blending the three in his stand-up shows.
