During a pre-release event on February 9, he made remarks about political figures linked to the Andhra Pradesh elections. His statements sparked outrage, especially among supporters of the YSR Congress Party, leading to calls for a boycott. Although Prudhvi later apologized, the negative buzz surrounding the film only grew after its release.
