Lewis Pullman is Officially MCU Material!
Okay, Marvel fans, listen up! Lewis Pullman, who you might remember from Top Gun: Maverick (and soon, Thunderbolts), just snagged a HUGE role. He's officially joining the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. Seriously, this was a total surprise – part of a massive cast reveal that left everyone’s jaws on the floor. Pullman’s officially part of the MCU family, and things are about to get interesting.
Sentry, The Void, and a Whole Lotta Confusion
Get this: Pullman’s playing Robert Reynolds, aka the Sentry. In the comics, this guy’s got crazy-powerful abilities – think "a million exploding suns" level of power. But here’s the twist: he’s also got a seriously nasty alter-ego, The Void. His role in Thunderbolts seems to point towards a villainous turn, which makes his appearance in Doomsday even more intriguing. I mean, is he going to be a good guy, a bad guy, or something completely unexpected? It's all a bit of a mystery.
This isn’t even Pullman’s first MCU rodeo. He popped up briefly in Skincare, but Doomsday is shaping up to be a real career-changer.
Avengers: Doomsday - Buckle Up, Buttercup!
Avengers: Doomsday is already looking epic. We’ve got Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Anthony Mackie), and a ton of other familiar faces. And get this – Robert Downey Jr. is back as Doctor Doom! Honestly, who saw that coming? With the Sentry's insane power, he could easily be a game-changer – either as a hero or, well, a catastrophic villain. The suspense is killing me.
First Look at Sentry in Thunderbolts
Before Doomsday hits theaters, we’ll get our first taste of Pullman’s Sentry in Thunderbolts, premiering May 2nd, 2024. Trailers suggest a potential threat from The Void, leaving us wondering how the Thunderbolts team will even handle that kind of raw power. Will he still have amnesia? Will he fully embrace his powers? So many questions!
A Cast Bigger Than My To-Do List
Avengers: Doomsday (May 1st, 2026) boasts a ridiculously star-studded cast. We're talking Vanessa Kirby, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Tenoch Huerta MejĂa, Simu Liu... and a few surprise X-Men appearances that I can’t spoil just yet! With this massive ensemble, and RDJ back as Doctor Doom, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest MCU movies ever. This isn't just a movie; it's an event!
