Allu Arjun appears virtually in court for bail in Sandhya Theatre stampede case, citing security concerns. Incident occurred during Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere.

Actor Allu Arjun appeared virtually before a local court on Friday, citing security reasons and to avoid public inconvenience. The court was hearing his bail plea in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, where a woman tragically lost her life, and her son was injured.

The incident took place on December 4 during the premiere of Arjun's latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, when fans gathered in large numbers, leading to chaos. The Hyderabad police had filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management after the victim's family lodged a complaint.

Arrest and Interim Bail

The actor was arrested on December 13 and presented before the Nampally court, which sent him to 14 days of judicial custody. However, the Telangana High Court granted him four weeks of interim bail on December 14, following which he was released from jail.

Since the 14-day remand period ended on Friday, Allu Arjun attended the court proceedings via video conference for his regular bail petition. The police sought more time to investigate the matter, leading the court to postpone the next hearing to December 30.

The Incident

The stampede occurred as fans rushed to catch a glimpse of the actor at Sandhya Theatre. A 35-year-old woman lost her life, and her eight-year-old son was injured in the incident. The police have charged the accused under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
