Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has decided not to direct the much-awaited Krrish 4, starring his son Hrithik Roshan. After directing all previous films in the Krrish franchise, Rakesh believes it's time to hand over the responsibility to a new director.

Why Rakesh Roshan Won’t Direct Krrish 4

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan said, "The day has to come when I have to pass on the baton. It’s better I do it while I’m in my senses, so I can oversee the process and ensure it’s done correctly."

He added that he has no regrets about not directing Krrish 4 and acknowledged that there's no guarantee a film will be a blockbuster just because he directs it.

Krrish Franchise So Far

The Krrish franchise started with Koi Mil Gaya (2003), which later evolved into India’s first superhero series with Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013). All films starred Hrithik Roshan, with Priyanka Chopra playing the female lead in the last two.

Although an official announcement for Krrish 4 is yet to be made, reports suggest that the script is finalized.

Hrithik Roshan’s Upcoming Projects

Hrithik Roshan is currently shooting for War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. The film also features NTR Jr. and Kiara Advani. Recently, Hrithik suffered a knee injury while filming a dance sequence for the movie.

Fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on Krrish 4 and the new director who will take the franchise forward.
