Choreographer and filmmaker Remo D’Souza recently visited the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, despite reports of threats to his life. To maintain a low profile, Remo attended the event in disguise, accompanied by his wife, Lizelle D’Souza.

In a video shared on social media, Remo can be seen taking a sacred dip in the Ganga, a significant ritual during the Kumbh Mela. Dressed in simple black traditional attire with part of his face covered, he blended into the crowd while participating in the holy event.

The video also shows Remo seeking blessings from Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj, highlighting the spiritual purpose of his visit. Another post features both Remo and Lizelle meeting the spiritual leader. Although Remo did not add a caption to the video, hashtags like #mahakumbh2025 and #prayagraj emphasized the event’s spiritual importance.

Meanwhile, news has surfaced about alleged death threats to Remo D’Souza, Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, and Sugandha Mishra. An email, reportedly sent under the alias “BISHNU,” claimed to be monitoring their activities. A police case has been filed in Mumbai, and the authorities are investigating the matter.

However, Lizelle D’Souza dismissed these reports in an interview, calling them false. She clarified that the emails they received were spam, and the cyber department is handling the issue. She reassured fans there is no reason to worry, suggesting the media may have exaggerated the situation.

Despite the rumors, Remo’s visit to the Kumbh Mela reflected his focus on spirituality and the cultural importance of the event.
