"The Sex Lives of College Girls," a popular comedy series co-created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, has been canceled by Max after its third season.

The show, which debuted in 2021, followed the lives of four freshman roommates at the fictional Essex College in Vermont, exploring their personal and academic challenges.

The main cast included Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Alyah Chanelle Scott, and Reneé Rapp. Notably, Rapp, who portrayed Leighton, departed early in the third season to focus on her music career. Her character was succeeded by Kacey, played by Gracie Lawrence.

Despite its initial acclaim, the third season received mixed reviews, with some fans expressing dissatisfaction over the changes in the cast and storyline. The season concluded without the typical cliffhangers, providing a more resolved ending for the characters.

Warner Bros. Television, the studio behind the series, is actively seeking a new platform to continue the show. Reports suggest that Netflix is among the potential candidates to pick up the series for a possible fourth season.

Fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment over the cancellation, with many hoping for the series to find a new home soon. As of now, all three seasons of "The Sex Lives of College Girls" remain available for streaming on Max.
