Shikhar Pahariya, rumored to be dating Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, responded strongly to a troll who made a caste-based comment on his social media post.
The incident happened after Shikhar posted pictures from his Diwali celebrations, including moments with his pet and Janhvi Kapoor. A user commented, “Lekin tu toh Dalit hai” ("But you’re a Dalit"), trying to mock him.
Instead of ignoring the remark, Shikhar took a stand by sharing a screenshot of the comment on his Instagram Story. He called it “pathetic” and criticized the user for their backward thinking.
“It’s honestly pathetic that in 2025, people like you still have such a small, backward mindset. Diwali is about light, progress, and unity—concepts that are clearly beyond your understanding,” Shikhar wrote.
He further added, “India's strength lies in its diversity and inclusivity, something you fail to grasp. Instead of spreading ignorance, maybe focus on educating yourself because right now, the only thing truly 'untouchable' is your thinking.”

After his response, many social media users returned to his Diwali post to criticize the troll.
One user wrote, “Shame on you for your mindset. Learn some humanity before commenting.”
Another said, “Your mentality is third-class. Educate yourself instead of spreading hate.”

Shikhar, grandson of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, is often in the news for his relationship with Janhvi Kapoor.
On Women's Day 2025, he shared a heartfelt tribute to Janhvi, calling her a strong woman who refuses to be defined by society’s expectations.
“She loves fiercely, dreams boldly, and proves every single day that resilience isn’t just about surviving—it’s about thriving,” he wrote.
Janhvi responded with, “Best son, best grandson, best friend, best ever.”
