In a surprising turn of events, conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has sent a Christmas gift to actor Jacqueline Fernandez – a 107-year-old vineyard in southern France. The gift was accompanied by a handwritten letter from Tihar Jail, which has quickly gone viral on social media.
The letter, dated December 25, sees Sukesh addressing Jacqueline as “baby girl” and wishing her a Merry Christmas. He expresses regret over spending the festival apart, and assures her that it does not stop him from playing her "Santa Claus." Sukesh goes on to reveal that instead of a bottle of wine, he is gifting her an entire vineyard in France, saying, "I have a very special present for you this year, my love."
The letter continues with Sukesh telling Jacqueline that he is eager to visit the vineyard with her once he is out of jail. He writes, "I am desperate to take a walk in this garden holding your hand. The world may think that I am crazy, but I am really crazy in love with you. Wait till I come out, then the whole world will see us together."
However, Jacqueline has not acknowledged or responded to Sukesh’s letters. Despite this, the letters continue to stir up reactions online. On Reddit, many users have called Sukesh "delusional" for repeatedly writing to Jacqueline, who has referred to herself as his “victim” in legal statements. "This is scary," one user commented.
Sukesh’s obsession with Jacqueline has raised eyebrows, especially since he has been in jail since 2015, awaiting trial for a multi-crore fraud case. During the investigation, Jacqueline’s name emerged as she reportedly knew Sukesh, who allegedly deceived her by presenting himself as a legitimate businessman. Although photos surfaced showing the two together, Jacqueline claims she was conned and has since distanced herself from him, describing Sukesh's actions as harassment.
