Tamil actor Manoj Bharathiraja, known for films like Taj Mahal, Samudhiram, and Alli Arjuna, has passed away at the age of 48. He suffered a heart attack at his home in Chennai on Tuesday evening.
Manoj Bharathiraja’s Sudden Demise
Manoj, who had recently undergone a bypass surgery, was recovering at home in Chetpet when he suffered a fatal heart attack. His manager confirmed the news, stating, “He was recuperating but succumbed to a heart attack, shocking everyone. His father, veteran director Bharathiraja, is on his way to his residence.” Details of the funeral and last rites are yet to be announced.
Manoj is survived by his wife, Ashwathi (Nandana), and two daughters, Arshitha and Mathivathani. His last appearance was in the 2024 Tamil web series Snakes and Ladders.
