An Air India flight received a bomb threat through an email at Kempegowda International Airport in Karnataka. The threat was received two days ago, according to Sajith VJ, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North-East Bengaluru. Immediately after the threat, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed, and investigations were launched. Official sources have confirmed that the airport authorities and police are investigating the matter.
Bomb Threat to PM Modi’s Aircraft
In another separate incident, the Mumbai Police arrested a man from the Chembur area after a terror threat was made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft. The threat call, made on February 11, warned of a possible terrorist attack on PM Modi’s plane ahead of his official visit abroad. The Mumbai Police took the call seriously, informing other agencies and initiating an investigation. The suspect, who made the threatening call, was apprehended and identified as a person with mental illness, as per police officials.
PM Modi was set to travel abroad for an official visit. He had already co-chaired the AI Action Summit in Paris, alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit was a key event that included global leaders and industry experts. After the summit, PM Modi was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora in Marseille, France. He is also expected to visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project as part of his trip, which focuses on nuclear fusion research.
