The victims were identified as Omprakash Singh (42), his wife Purnima (34), their daughter Ahana (12), and son Vinayak (4). They were returning home to Delhi after visiting the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj.

Details of the Accident

The accident happened around 12:30 am when Omprakash Singh, who was driving, is believed to have fallen asleep. The car lost control and crashed into a mini truck coming from the opposite direction. All four family members died on the spot. The car was severely damaged, and the bodies were pulled out by police.

Police say the family had traveled from Motihari in Bihar to Prayagraj for a holy dip. After the tragic accident, the bodies were sent for post-mortem, and the family has been informed.

Similar Accident on Delhi-Agra Highway

This accident comes just days after a similar crash on the Delhi-Agra highway in Mathura. On January 24, two men, Girdhar (25) and Devendra Singh (28), died when their car crashed into a parked truck near Chaumuhan town. Another passenger, Ram Kishan (34), was injured and taken to the hospital.

Road Safety Concerns

These tragic accidents highlight the growing need for better road safety on highways. With more accidents happening on long-distance routes, it's important for authorities to take action to prevent further loss of life.
