Deloitte US India, one of the ‘Big 4’ accounting firms, has announced the opening of 3 new offices in Pune, Kolkata, and Chennai as the firm will reportedly have a workforce of 10,000 employees in these offices.
All firms are witnessing significant growth in their Indian business as the work assigned to their Indian branches is seeing robust growth. Deloitte’s services exports reached all-time highs of $325.44 million in FY23 as the firm has 100,000 employees working in India, almost 25% of its global headcount.
According to the firm’s statement, it has recognized the talent that India has to offer and the opportunities in the field of business exports from India. Therefore, the company has announced hiring 10,000 employees across assurance, tax, data analytics, valuations, M&A, AI, Cloud, and many more to operate from these locations.
The interest by international companies is proof of India’s talented workforce and will drive employment in the country. Moreover, with the growing shortage of accounting and taxation professionals in America, more services are bound to be outsourced to India as demand for Indian professionals is expected to grow in the future.
With these new offices, the firm aims to strengthen its presence in the country while improving its service capabilities and providing excellent services to its clients. These new offices will assist our country cement its position as a services major while it will also help the firm expand its business offerings.
