Four robbers who targeted pilgrims in Mathura have been arrested by police after separate encounters in Vrindavan. The robbers were snatching cash and expensive phones and then escaping on unregistered motorcycles.

The first two suspects, Satish and Rajesh, were caught on the night of January 12 near Gurukul School in Vrindavan. Police found a mobile phone, ₹2,000, an Aadhaar card, and other stolen items from them. These items belonged to a woman pilgrim from Modinagar, Ghaziabad. The robbery took place earlier in the day, and when the police launched a search, they managed to catch the robbers as they tried to flee.

During the arrest, Satish was injured by a bullet in his leg. Police also seized a firearm and the unregistered motorcycle used in the crime. The robbers are facing charges for their actions.

In another case on January 8, two other suspects, Shivam and Mohit, were arrested after they fired at the police when they were stopped. The police returned fire and caught them. The stolen items, including a mobile phone, power bank, earbud, and a firearm, were recovered from them.

These two suspects are also linked to several similar robberies in the area. They were sent to jail after their court appearance.

The police have successfully cracked down on these crimes, which often target pilgrims visiting the area. They continue to investigate and ensure other suspects are caught.
