India celebrated its Republic Day on Sunday with a grand parade at Kartavya Path in Delhi, showcasing the country’s culture and military strength. The parade included 31 colorful tableaux representing different states and ministries, and many marching groups from the armed forces. There was also a thrilling fly-past with several aircraft formations that amazed the spectators.
Indonesia’s President was the chief guest at the event, joining Indian President Droupadi Murmu. The parade started with both leaders in a traditional carriage, escorted by the President’s Bodyguard. Around 10,000 special guests, including top achievers in different fields, were invited to watch the parade.
The event began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting the National War Memorial to honor India’s soldiers. He laid a wreath in tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The National Flag was then raised, followed by the National Anthem and a 21-gun salute using Indian-made Light Field Guns. After this, the parade started with helicopters showering flower petals over the crowds.
Key Highlights of the Republic Day Parade
A major highlight was the first-ever Tri-services tableau, showing how the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force work together. The parade also featured 5,000 artists performing 45 different dance forms in a colorful show titled ‘Jayati Jaya Mamaḧ Bharatam.’ The performance covered the entire parade route, making sure all guests had a great view.

A special all-women contingent from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) marched in the parade, led by Assistant Commandant Aishwarya Joy. In another first, the Delhi Police had an all-women band led by Band Master Ruyangunuo Kense.
The parade also honored India’s military veterans with a tableau called ‘Viksit Bharat ki Ore Sadaiv Agrasar.’ It celebrated the role of these veterans, including women who have served in the armed forces.
Display of Military Strength
The parade showed India’s military power, with many advanced weapons on display. Some of these included the T-90 Tank, BrahMos missile, and Pinaka Multi-launcher. These weapons are crucial for India’s defense.
Dare Devils and Fly-Past
The parade ended with an exciting show by the Corps of Signals Motorcycle Rider Display Team, also known as ‘The Dare Devils.’ They performed stunts like the ‘Human Pyramid’ and ‘Lotus.’ Following this, a fly-past took place with 40 aircraft and helicopters, including Rafale jets and Apache helicopters. The air show was amazing, with the final stunt being performed by a Rafale jet in a maneuver called ‘Vertical Charlie.’
