At the UN Human Rights Council, Kshitij Tyagi, representing India, slammed Pakistan for spreading false information. He described Pakistan as a "failed state" that relies heavily on international aid. Tyagi expressed regret that Pakistan continues to misuse platforms like the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to spread propaganda.

Jammu and Kashmir Remains an Integral Part of India

Tyagi reaffirmed India’s position on Jammu and Kashmir, stating that both Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Ladakh, will always remain an integral part of India. He pointed to the significant progress made in these regions, highlighting the political, social, and economic improvements that show the people's trust in India’s government. Tyagi also emphasized that the transformation in these regions proves that the government is committed to bringing peace after years of violence.

Pakistan Should Focus on Its Own Issues

Tyagi urged Pakistan to stop focusing on India and instead address the problems within its own country. He stated that India is focused on progress, democracy, and dignity for its people. These are values that Pakistan should consider adopting for the betterment of its citizens.

India's Consistent Stance on Jammu and Kashmir

Tyagi’s statement follows earlier remarks by India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish. On February 19, Ambassador Harish also reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir has always been an integral part of India, despite Pakistan’s attempts to spread misinformation.

Diplomatic Tension Continues

The ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan over Jammu and Kashmir remains unresolved. India has consistently asserted its sovereignty over the region, while Pakistan has continued to claim it. The diplomatic tension continues to be a major point of discussion on global platforms.
