According to ministry officials, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate nine Vande Bharat Express trains on September 24th. These new semi-high-speed trains are expected to improve connectivity and provide passengers with a faster and more comfortable travel experience.

Two new eight-coach trains will connect Howrah and Chennai, enhancing transportation options across India, with one serving Kerala, Odisha, Telangana, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.

One of the highlights is the Tirunelveli-Chennai Vande Bharat Express, which is scheduled to depart Tirunelveli Junction at 6 a.m. and arrive in Chennai at 1:50 p.m., making it Tamil Nadu's third Vande Bharat route. 

The train will stop in Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, and Tiruchi at an average speed of 83.30 km/h. The second Vande Bharat Express, covering 505 kilometers from Puri to Rourkela, will be inaugurated on Sunday, connecting the state's coastal districts to its western region.

The Bengaluru-Hyderabad Vande Bharat train will connect the technical cities, covering 610 km in 8.5 hours, with stops in Mahabubnagar, Kurnool City, Anantapur, Dhone, and Dharmavaram. The Vijayawada-Chennai Vande Bharat Express offers a quick and convenient 6-hour and 40-minute journey between the two cities.

 Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, will soon receive a Vande Bharat Express, expanding the network of indigenously manufactured, semi-high-speed trains with advanced passenger amenities. The Vande Bharat Express trains are set to enhance connectivity, shorten travel times, and enhance passenger comfort across India.
