Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will take a holy dip in the Sangam today as part of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.
There will also be a Dharma Sansad today, but the Akhada Parishad has said its members will not attend the event led by Devkinandan Thakur.
District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar has urged people in Prayagraj to avoid using four-wheelers during the Maha Kumbh. This will help reduce traffic and make it easier to move around the fair area.
Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, also called Baba Bageshwar, will hold his Katha at Parmarth Niketan from January 27 to 29.
On Sunday, more than 1.74 crore people took a holy dip in the Sangam, and so far, over 13.21 crore devotees have participated in the event. To manage the crowd, vehicles have been banned from entering the fair area.
