As Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj nears its end, a rare event is happening in the sky. All seven planets in our solar system—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—are visible at the same time, making the festival even more special. But alongside the spiritual significance, there’s a serious issue that has caught the attention of the Uttar Pradesh police.

Inappropriate Content Shared on Social Media

Some social media accounts have shared photos and videos of women bathing at the Mahakumbh, violating their privacy. These videos were reportedly being sold on platforms like Telegram. The police have filed cases against these accounts for sharing and selling such content.

Police Working with Meta for Investigation

The police are working with Meta, which owns Instagram and Facebook, to find the people behind these accounts. They’ve asked Meta to provide information to help them track down the offenders. A Telegram channel selling videos was also found, and action is being taken against it.

The police are making sure that no one uses social media to spread offensive content about the Mahakumbh festival. They are committed to protecting the privacy of all participants during this sacred event.

Mahakumbh 2025 Ends Soon

The Mahakumbh festival, which happens once every 144 years, began on January 13 and will end on February 26. While millions of pilgrims gather for spiritual purposes, the police are focused on ensuring that everyone’s dignity and privacy are respected.
